Class Description

Sha la la Joseph you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat ahead of your time!

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song. In this class we will be taking the award winning songs from this musical and staging them for a "highlights" version of Joseph.  You will learn to sing, act and dance your way into the spotlight with this Musical Theater 101 Class.

Melissa Lohr

A Central Texas native, Melissa Lohr is a graduate of Baylor University with degrees in Sociology, Educational Psychology, and Curriculum & Instruction. Growing up, she spent numerous hours in traveling show choirs and pit orchestras in addition to her 16 years of experience in violin, viola, piano, and vocal training. Melissa is the Academic Advisor and Head of Recruitment for Texas Tech University here in Waco. She is so thankful and excited for the opportunity to live in her favorite city in the world while working for her favorite theater program in the world!

Location Notes:

Gym is in the community center, located around the back of the building.  Parking is by the Community Center entrance.
