She has also directed and designed many of CYT Waco's shows including "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", "Seussical Jr" and most recently "Into the Woods Jr." She loves the technical side of theatre and has worked hard to build skills in costuming, set design, and stage makeup. Carol grew up in Abingdon, Virginia where she loved "making a joyful noise" in various church and school choirs. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Service/ Counseling from Liberty University in 1991. While being a stay-at-home/homeschooling Mom, Carol has volunteered in various roles with the Children's Choir programs at her church starting in Cookeville, Tennessee, and continuing after moving to Johnson City, Tennessee where she served as the Children's Choir Coordinator for Tri-Cities Baptist Church. Her family moved to Waco in 2016, and she and her daughter, Natalie, were excited to discover CYT Waco and find their theater family. Their first CYT Waco production was Rapunzel where Carol served on the Costume Committee. She continued with costumes, leading the committee for both Alice and Seussical. Carol is looking forward to working with the parents and leadership of CYT Waco to make every production the best that it can be to give a praise offering to our God who provides all the talents - both on-stage and behind the scenes.
Chastity was born and raised in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Parkview Christian Academy and have been married to her husband Isaac for 9 years. They homeschool 3 beautiful daughters and own a local business. Chastity has been a worship leader in the local church since she was a teenager. As someone who grew up on the stage, she loves to see the confidence that CYT Waco has helped develop in her own kids, and she is excited to be a part of that development in others. Chastity is very grateful for this awesome organization who not only cultivates a love for the stage, but also a love for the Creator!
Cara grew up in Dallas and Kerrville, Texas, where she was blessed to attend high quality community and school theater productions, stoking her love of theater. She and her husband Micah have been married 22 years, 17 of which were spent raising their family in the Middle East. Cara has a degree in Elementary Education from Baylor, which she’s put to use in part homeschooling her six kids while they lived overseas. Having heard about CYT Waco from its beginning through friends, Cara’s daughter, Magdalyn jumped in with both feet with the fall show in 2016 and has been in every show (and camp!) since. Cara is on staff at Antioch Community Church as the Preschool and Special Needs Pastor. Given the way CYT has truly become family to the Keys, Cara is excited to serve the family by making sure classes run smoothly.
